Our Oskosh Air Show and Tour in Wisconsin

We have just Sunday to go before we head out Monday morning. The weather is much improved and all the guests are enjoying the air show here in Oshkosh. Prior to our arrival here they had a lot of rain so we had to park our caravan at a near by county park, which worked out very well. Cheryl and I plan to visit the Hormel "SPAM" museum in Minn. on our way to the Winnebago factory in Iowa to get some work done on the motorhome.
This photo is of a simulated bomb run by a military fly-bye! Lots of exciting air demonstrations at Oshkosh.

This is Jim & Sandy, wonderful hosts and wonderful friends!  It was so great to see you again.  Perhaps we will see each other next year at Jim & Sue's.  Loved our visit!
This is Dean & I with Sandy, toasting to each other.  We had a blast.  Thank you Jim & Sandy for inviting us to your home for dinner!
This is Dean and I at Jim & Sandy's in Rockford.  I think we may have polished off the bottle of wine while Jim was cooking our dinner on the BBQ!

Jim & Sandy in Rockford, IL

We arrived about 10am in Rockford, IL where our daughter's in-laws reside.  We thought we would help out their economy and do our shopping for our up coming tour and visit with our daughter's in-laws, Jim & Sandy.  We had a wonderful lunch at Pandera Bread, but it was nothing compared to the dinner they prepared for us of ham and salad!  The company was wonderful.  Our daughter is very blessed with wonderful in-laws!   Sandy took these photos as I forgot my camera!  Thank you Sandy for sending me copies.

Family Fun in Hershey, PA

We visited Hershey Park amusement and boy was it HOT! We sure enjoyed the water park! The chocolate factory tour was nice also for the grandkids! They got all their calories from the candy that day. We did enjoy the rides at the park as well, as long as you could find some shade in between.  For more details of our day at Hershey, visit our daughter Susan's site:  http://flemmingfamily3.blogspot.com/

July 4 - BBQ at Brother Louie's

On the 4th of July, we had a bar-b-que at Cheryls brothers in Candor, NY. Cheryl, niece Tammy, Cheryl's sister, Rachel and Louie pose for a mug shot. We had a good time and the weather was perfect!

July 3 - Geo Cacheing in New York

We had a wonderful time Geo Cacheing in a small upstate village. Our daughter-in-law with grandsons enjoyed the search. It was the first cache the boys went on and loved it.  It was wonderful to see their faces when the found it.  They had a great time and proudly display their find! It is a great hobby and gets you out and about treasure hunting.

June 25 - Breakfast at Robin & Judy's

We had a great time visiting with old friends Judy (Left) sister Jane, Cliff, Robin and Dean. Since Cheryl and I full-time in the RV, we only get to see our friends when we are back in Ithaca, NY

June 25 - Lunch at Brother Bill & Kathy's

Today we went to brother Bill's and wife Kathys for dinner. From left, sister Diana, Cheryl, Robert, Brother-in-law Jerry, sister Adelaide and Kathy. We always have a great time with family when we are home in NY. One of these days we hope to spend more time as we miss the family reunion due to travel committments. Oh well, someone has to do it.

June 30 - Dairien Lake Amusement Park with Family

Well, here we are in Darien Lake amusement  park outside Buffalo, NY to spend the day. Dean on left, Cheryl, Bobby with Nick, son Bob with Nathaniel and Lynnett. It was a cool day but the rides were heart warming and thrilling. Since it was a weekday, there were few crowds so we got to ride the popular ones without delay! Our son Bob, who is blind, enjoyed the bumper cars as he couldn't do any damage. I would ride behind and say "left" or "right" to keep him out of the corners. He had a ball! He and Bobby particularly enjoy the roller coasters.

June 22 - Parkers Visit to New York

Charlie & Gayle came to New York - we visited them at their campground one day, then they visited us at Green Lakes State Park.  While in Syrcacuse we had a feast lunch at the Dinasaur BBQ.   Wonderful food and great company!  We will see them next in California.  We have met the Parkers, let see (correct me if I am wrong Charlie):  San Felipe, Mexico; Livingston, TX; Weslaco, TX, 2008 Colonial Mexico tour; Tucson, AZ; and Syracuse, NY!  Great friends and wonderful people!

June 20 - Family at Green lakes SP

What a wonderful week we spent at Green Lakes State Park in New York.  Son Bill and his family camped with us for the weekend.  We went Geo Cacheing, swimming, hiking, biking, made s'mores, and played with the fire!  Two other grandchildren visited their cousins while we were there.  We all had lots of fun, but the time just flew by so quickly!  Soon it was time to pack up and go back home!
This is our Geo Cacheing loot we found.  We signed the register, took something and left something behind.
Of course, a visit to Green Lakes State park is not a visit unless you can swim in the beautiful green lakes.
